Wills

Our family law practitioners are experienced in the creation of Wills or additions (Codicil) to an existing Will.

There are many issues to think about when preparing your Will, such as the nature of your estate, your executors, and beneficiaries.

If you have a current Will and are in the process of a separation or filing for divorce, our legal practitioners are able to assist you in changes or creating a new Will to best reflect your intentions. If you do not presently have a Will prepared you should consider making one as it goes a long way to avoid family disputes when you pass on.

It is important to remember that Divorce does not revoke your Will. Often parties during marriage sign 'Mirror Wills', i.e. one party leaving all their assets to the other spouse. It is very important you seek legal advice in regard to your testamentary wishes and obligations.
